Neutering of Feral Cats as an Alternative to Eradication Programs

Karl I. Zaunbrecher, DVM, and Richard E. Smith, DVM, MPH

This article was printed in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Volume 203, Number 3, August 1, 1993. It comes from the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health, School of Veterinary Medicine, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La.

It is an interesting study that addresses the very reason for the existance of the Feral Cat Coalition. Though this study was on a rather small population, it was well designed and executed, and the results can reasonably be taken to represent other populations.

Unfortunately, this article is currently unavailable. With any luck, it may return (in some form) in the future. I greatly regret having to remove this valuable resource.
