Program Overview
The Trapper & Community Outreach Specialist is a key member of FCC’s Strategic Trap Team, a pilot program designed to reduce high-density feral cat colonies to zero reproducing cats through targeted, sustained Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts. This role combines hands-on trapping work with direct community engagement to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate outcomes for both cats and caregivers.
Trappers will be assigned to known high-density colonies and will remain engaged at each site until all breeding cats have been sterilized. This approach prioritizes continuity, efficiency, and measurable impact while supporting community members who care deeply about outdoor cats but may lack the resources, mobility, or training to trap safely on their own.
