Feral Cat Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free spay and neuter services for feral and stray cats. We operate through weekly clinics staffed by licensed veterinarians, supported by both paid and volunteer team members. In addition to our work with unowned cats, we have, for the past three years, expanded our services to include low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for owned pets. Our organization holds three clinics per week, during which we typically see between 20 and 60 cats per day.

Volunteers are needed to staff our clinics on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10:30 AM until approximately 3:30 PM. (fyi this is going to change shortly in the future, I'm just not sure when and to what) We are located just southeast of SDSU.

Please apply if:

You would like to be a part of our volunteer team to assist us with cats during treatment and recovery.

Our volunteers contribute to clinic duties include cleaning ears, monitoring cats recovering from surgery, taking and recording rectal temperatures, shaving and prepping cats for their procedure, cleaning feral cat traps, sterilizing surgical instruments, and other related duties.

Note: Clinic assignments rotate, and volunteers are expected to perform all duties needed to support every cat’s recovery.

Please fill out this application to help us get to know you better. You will be contacted within five business days by the FCC volunteer coordinator to chat and continue the volunteer on-boarding process.
